function getprocessexitcode( |
prochandle: prochandlety; |
out exitcode: Integer; |
const timeoutus: Integer = 0 |
Returns the exit code of the process prochandle (started by e.g. execmse4 or execmse2) in exitcode. With timeoutus = 0, it does not wait: the result is pee_timeout as long as the process is running. With a negative timeoutus, it waits until the process terminates.
To start an external program (a viewer, for example) without blocking the application, call this function with timeoutus = 0 in the ontimer event of a ttimer, or use the tmseprocess component and its onprocfinished event. execwaitmse and waitforprocess block the application until the program terminates: its windows are not repainted in the meantime.
